Youth and Teens
Influenced

I joined Creatnet’s YLP program during the transition phase of school to college. It was during lockdown when people were isolated from the outdoor world and had created a world in their own heads. For me, I had found a community where thoughts and expression of perspectives was welcomed. One key takeaway was the art of reflection and silence. We went through a journey to understand ourselves and realise where our interests and comforts belong.

Kunal Singh

A student at Ashoka University

Before joining YLP, I had big dreams but lacked guidance. YLP changed everything for me. It gave me clarity on my goals and taught me how to stay focused and use my strengths. I found my own path and got to facilitate other students. I organised sessions to help with their learning needs. YLP empowered me to make a difference in their lives and mine.

Vivek Dixit

Deputy Director of Education, Shahdara South Zone, Delhi

YLP has been a transformative experience for me. I learned about the power of structuring my thoughts and the structure of fulfilment. I am not just a member; I am the team. I understood the concept of strength-based leadership and recognizing one’s strengths.

  • Young Leaders Program

Youth as Leaders

Our youth face immense challenges—emotional upheavals, self-judgment, academic pressures, and digital distractions, questioning their paths and education's value. Since 2012, the Young Leaders Program (YLP) has empowered teens and youth to become aware, creative, and lifelong learners. Through volunteer-led learning communities, experienced facilitators guide youth to understand themselves, work harmoniously with others, identify the right type of work, plan, set goals, and lead their futures with awareness and integrity.

Who are our FDs?

Our FDs, or Facilitator Developers, anchor our programs as key contributors and partners who volunteer their time and expertise to nurture safe and non-hierarchical community learning spaces. YLP FDs are exemplary individuals who have previously participated in our programs and are driven to mentor budding young leaders with immense care. They have rich leadership experiences to draw from and a desire to give back to their communities.

How do they catalyse leadership development?

The facilitator developers are the pillars of our programs, providing youth with the support of a friendly guide by the side. They enable youth to deepen their self-awareness, learn to work with others and create and execute action plans for their goals. They also create leadership opportunities, enable connections with mentors and provide a safe space for the youth to learn and grow together.
